ties in characters from Medstar. Basically about the 1st Deathstar from about halfway through its construction to its destruction. Follows 4 different sets of characters. They escape in the end because they can’t countenance working for something that destroys millions and billions of lives just to make a point. A very interesting look at the flow and ebb of life on the Death Star.

the Bota is mutating itself out of usefulness. The spy is revealed and everybody leaves. I really enjoyed this series. I’d buy it if I could find it through SFBC [they no longer carry it]. Very character driven and very few instances of flashy force stuff. It ended well too.

Update-I did end up buying the SFBC hardcover omnibus edition, for an outrageous price however. Stupid price gougers.

Barris Offee is the only “Jedi” in this book. Much more medically oriented. Also ties the droid from Darth Maul: Shadowhunter in. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Not action oriented, or super Jedi oriented. Very character driven and I could see why many people wouldn’t like it. I have to say, I was surprised to like it, given that I have NOT liked Reaves & Perry’s previous stuff. Always nice to be surprised.

taking place between ESB and RotJ, it focuses on a battle between Vader and the leader of the crime organization Black Sun, both of whom want Luke. Vader wants him alive, Xizor wants him dead. Call it an immediate prequel to RotJ. Ok. I’d buy it in hardcover if I would find it for under $5.
