a blase book in which Dirk Gently is involved with ancient Norse Gods, a contract for a god’s soul and some random woman, all mishmashed together in a nonsensical format that hardly anybody could enjoy.

What a waste of time. From barely there plots all mishmashed together nonsensically, to a ending so rushed I had to check out another copy to make sure I hadn’t gotten a bad copy, nothing about this book was enjoyable. Sure, there were some one liners, but a couple of one liners do not make an enjoyable novel.

in the same universe as the Hitchhiker books and very similar in type of humor. The main character knows Dirk Gently and this story is about them as they prevent a multi-billion year old alien ghost from changing the past and wiping out humans. Nothing spectacular, but a fun read.

The same exact type of humor found in the Hitchhikers’ books. So I liked this. Your mileage might vary though, depending on your frame of mind. I recommend either being stupid tired or almost drunk to truly appreciate the comedy contained in this novel.

Stories about a man from earth who survives the earth being blown up. Lots of silliness ensues, multiple universes/earths happen, Arthur finds his way back to Earth, just in time to have ALL the earths wiped out of the space/time continuum.

Very silly stuff that I remember making my sides hurt back in bibleschool, but to be honest, I just found it stupid this time around. Maybe it is a one time thing?

And what a cop out of an ending. All the main characters are on earth when all the earths are erased. Fits with the series profile though.
