My Thoughts:

The foray into the Shifting Lands was interesting but the rest was passe.

        1. In conan stories, there is ALWAYS a wizard behind almost everything. THey’re like cockroaches 😀

  1. I really, really enjoyed the shifting lands. And, among other sources, that sequence probably provides some inspiration for the World of Dreams and especially the Aelfinn and Eelfinn in The Wheel of Time. I know Robert Jordan edited some of Tor’s Conan pastiches.

    1. If you like old school fantasy and by that I mean a fun adventure filled story that doesn’t worry about anything in real life, and just want something simple, then I’d recommend Conan.
      That being said, I’d highly recommend the original stuff by Howard first, just so you got the best first.
