Project X – A

For all the bionic details about what led to the Creation of Project X, please visit the Intro Post. It’s totally worth six million bionic dollars.

I like apples. A lot. In fact, I try to eat an apple every day for my lunch. Skin, fruit, core and seeds, I eat the whole thing! While I’m ok with the occasional granny smith, I prefer the sweeter varieties.

Yeah, not a big fan of arguments anymore. I used to be. Back in my teens and 20’s, I’d throw down the proverbial gauntlet and let the metaphorical blood flow like a river! Now? Just thinking about arguing makes me tired. Plus, I think I can count on one hand the times someone else has changed my mind by arguing with me, so I’m sure the reverse is also true.

I realize I’m starting Project X off pretty light, both in terms of subject matter and length. However, we’re in this for the long haul. If you haven’t checked your alphabet lately, there are 26 of those rascally letters. To chase them all down, even bionically powered as I am, it’s going to take true grit and determination. Pacing is essential to Supreme Success.

            1. That’s the deal, take it or leave it. All Lep or no arguments.

Otherwise I’m just going to nod my head at everything you say and go “yep, uh huh, sure thing Ol’10” for the rest of the post.

  1. I also eat the whole apple even the stem that connects it too the branch, people look at me weird when i do that, but i was brought up with the notion that nothing should go to waste…

Cant argue about arguments, i feel the same way. Only in my early twenties i just turned my back on it and havent returned since. Ive had an argument on WP a few months ago with some one’s post and the contents it consisted of, i dont know if it counts as an argument if the person i was having it with did not respond and rather thought it better than to just delete my comment. Even deleted Milou’s comment of it too, pisses me off even now just thinking about it.

    1. I tried the stem once. Once was enough 😀

And that “pisses me off even now just thinking about it” is why I don’t like them, especially online. It lingers and the person you were interacting with probably hasn’t given it a second thought once they deleted your comment. Just not worth the emotional investment 😦

        1. It is just too bad when things don’t work out.
I know I’ve stopped following people for a lot of reasons. I remember one time I made a rather strong statement on someone’s blog (that I had just started following) and it was exactly the wrong thing to say on his blog. I stopped following him because I was so embarrassed. Then you have people changing their reading habits and their blog starts filling up with boylove books, no thanks!

  2. This should be a fun project! I look forward to seeing how you deal with ‘X’. 😉 I’m not a huge fan of apples, but I do agree that arguing rarely changes anybody’s mind. If anything, I think it probably helps cement their mind the way it is if they get too emotional and offended as a result of the argument or if the person on the other side of the argument makes poor arguments or behaves particularly badly.

    1. That is ok, I’ll still read your reviews even if you don’t like apples 😉

Your last bit definitely applies to me. I get very emotional and so arguing turns heated in a blink of an eye and that doesn’t help anybody 😀
